Description
The Automatic Water Softener is a reliable water treatment solution designed to reduce hardness in water and help protect plumbing systems, water heaters, RO plants, and other water-using equipment. The system works through an ion exchange process, where hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged with sodium ions.
Unlike conventional manual softeners, the automatic system uses an automated control valve to manage filtration and regeneration cycles. Once the softening capacity is reached, the system initiates a regeneration process according to the programmed settings, helping restore the ion-exchange media for continued operation.
By reducing water hardness, the system can help minimize scale formation, deposits, and maintenance requirements in downstream equipment. It is particularly useful as a pre-treatment system for Reverse Osmosis plants and other water-treatment systems.
The Automatic Water Softener can be customized according to raw water hardness, flow rate, water consumption, required softening capacity, vessel size, resin quantity, and application requirements.

How Automatic Water Softener Works
Hard water enters the softener vessel and passes through a bed of cation exchange resin. The resin attracts and exchanges hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions, reducing the hardness of the treated water.
After the resin reaches its hardness-removal capacity, the system enters the regeneration cycle. A brine solution is passed through the resin to restore its ion-exchange capacity. The system then performs rinsing and returns to service.
The automatic control valve manages these cycles according to the programmed settings, reducing the need for frequent manual operation.
